I colored my little cousin's drawings and this was the result

When I released my first comic, my 6-year-old cousin Thiago was very excited: "Hugo, I want to make a comic too!"

Luckily for him, I had just been reading about Fred Giovannitti, an American businessman who colored his children's drawings while on his business trips, with fantastic results. My reaction to reading about that had been exactly like my cousin's: "Hey, I want to do that, too!"

So my cousin and I teamed up to help each other. He drew a children's book with a story of his own creation, about a planet populated with monsters; I asked him to indicate which color he wanted each thing, then I took the drawings home to color them. I didn't do it with colored pencils, like Giovannitti; instead, I used digital painting to give the drawings a watercolor look like the one I'd seen in some children's books in Brazil.

This was the result. I gave Thiago the finished book on his birthday. You should have seen his face. He thought it was awesome.

One more thing: when I said I would post his drawings on the internet, he defiantly said he would get more views than I did. And guess what? He did. He beat me.
